GREAT BEAR RAINFOREST | BRITISH COLUMBIA

The Great Bear Rainforest is a huge coastal temperate rainforest on British Columbia’s north and central coast, and it’s one of the largest intact rainforests of its kind left on Earth. It’s known for its towering old-growth trees, rugged shoreline, and remarkable wildlife, including the rare spirit bear, as well as the Indigenous communities who have stewarded the land for generations. The region is widely recognized as both a natural treasure and an important conservation success story.
